The bowling department of the Indian cricket team has suffered miserably during the last couple of years, especially the fast bowling attack. The failure of fast bowlers has been one of the prime reasons for the whitewash of the Indian team in overseas test series against England and Australia. Even in the home test series against England, India were outplayed by English players in all the departments. Injuries have been the main reason why fast bowlers have not been able to deliver on a consistent basis. Ishant Sharma has been a promising fast bowler for India ever since his exploits in the test series against Australia down under.
However, he has not managed to spearhead the Indian bowling attack mainly because of injury problems. The injury worries for Ishant Sharma again seemed to materialise just before the sixth Indian Premier League goes on floor. Ishant Sharma has been reportedly troubled by a painful ankle and his move to Australia has been touted as result of his troubled ankle. Ishant has reportedly headed down under to seek medical help from a Melbourne based specialist. However, while responding to the queries regarding this injury threat to his ankle, Ishant Sharma said that he is not injured.
Ishant Sharma expressed himself through his tweet that he is not suffering from any injury. Ishant further clarified that he is heading for Australia to get his insoles and that he is going through his trainings without any physical complications. Perhaps Ishant is being pestered with queries regarding this reported ankle injury more than often. This might be the reason why he made a re-tweet on the matter and asserted that he is not injured and his Australia visit is for seeking insoles, not any medical help. Ishant will be part of Sunrisers Hyderabad during IPL 6.
