IPL Governing Council confirms 2012 dates

The IPL Governing Council met in Hyderabad discussed various matters related to Indian Premier League 2012.
The Governing Council has requested the Management team to return with choices for the format and structure for the 2012 season of the tournament.
The Governing Council also authorized various operational items for the approaching IPL season.
The player rules and trading modalities will probably be outlined at the following meeting of the GC.
The schedules of the DLF IPL 2012 were confirmed. The tournament will start in Chennai on 4 April 2012, and end on 27 May 2012. An Opening ceremony is going to be held in Chennai on 3 April, a day before the inaugural match.
