Modi not to attend BCCI disciplinary panel meet
Posted on July 27th, 2010Lalit Modi is looking to boycott the BCCI’s disciplinary panel meeting to be held today. Instead of himself, he will be represented by his lawyer Mehmood Abdi.
Lalit Modi is facing several charges including scam scandal in IPL rights, share holding in franchises and misleading the IPL committee. Earlier, Lalit Modi has also filed petition in the Bombay High Court to keep out Chirayu Amin from the panel meet stating he has personal bias against him. But court in an order rejected the petition by refusing to interfere the IPL case.
Mehmood Abdi, lawyer of Lalit Modi told reporters that “his client is ready to co-operate and help in this matter to make it rest”.
