Team List 2012

There are Ten Teams which participate in the Indian Premier League popularly known as IPL launched by Board of Cricket Control in India. IPL is managed by BCCI working committee which looks over the issues and prospectus of IPL. The first person to bring up the idea of franchise and IPL was Lalit Modi, a former chairman of Rajasthan Cricket Board (RCB).

Note : Even though there is pending court case against Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab, both have been cleared for IPL Season 4 on condition of $3.5 Security to BCCI in event of court favors BCCI in final decision.

Below is a list of IPL Teams

  1. Mumbai Indians
  2. Delhi Daredevils
  3. Chennai Super Kings
  4. Deccan Chargers
  5. Pune Warriors
  6. Kings XI Punjab
  7. Kochi IPL
  8. Rajasthan Royals
  9. Royal Challengers Bangalore
  10. Kolkata Knight Riders

Of above ten teams, Sahara Pune Warriors and Kochi IPL teams are newly inducted teams in the year 2011. Earlier Eight teams use to participate in the IPL Seasons.
